When I was living in India, one of the things I came to love most about Indian culture was their passion. When they get fired up about something, they get fired up! I have a friend who worked for an organization that was fired up about giving under-privileged kids a chance to learn English, and I want to share a little bit of this organization's amazing story with you!ÎÒסÔÚÓ¡¶ÈÆڼ䣬¶ÔÓÚËüÃǵÄÎÄ»¯×îϲ»¶µÄÒ»µã¾ÍÊǵ±µØÈ˵ÄÈÈÇé¡£µ±ËûÃǶÔij¼þʺÜÈÈÇéʱ£¬ËûÃÇÊÇÕæÕý±íÏÖ³öÈÈÇ飡ÎÒÓиöÅóÓÑÔÚÄÇÀïÒ»¼Ò»ú¹¹¹¤×÷£¬Ò»¼ÒÈÈÖÔÓÚ°ïÖúƶÀ§½×²ãµÄº¢×Ó»ñµÃѧϰӢÓï»ú»áµÄ»ú¹¹£¬ÔÚ´ËÏë¸ú´ó¼Ò·ÖÏíһЩËüÃǵÄÉñÆæ¹ÊÊ£¡
MAD (Make A Difference) was started by a group of college students in Cochin, a city in the Southwestern state of Kerala, India. MAD works with urban children in orphanages, shelters and poor homes who don't get quality educations. English education is very uneven among schools in India; richer students can get an excellent education, while poorer students are not taught in English until their 10th year. Most of these kids end up dropping out of school at a young age, and MAD believes that by giving them communication and computer skills, it can help more kids stay in school and achieve more.MAD (Make A Difference)ÊÇÓÉһȺÔÚ¿ÂÇÕ¡ª¡ªÓ¡¶È¿¦À²À²Î÷Äϲ¿µÄÒ»¸ö³ÇÊСª¡ªµÄ´óѧÉú³ÉÁ¢µÄ¡£MADΪÄÇЩÔڹ¶ùÔº¡¢±ÜÄÑËùºÍƶÇî¼ÒÍ¥¶øµÃ²»µ½¸ßÖÊÁ¿½ÌÓýµÄº¢×ÓÌṩ·þÎñ¡£ÔÚÓ¡¶È£¬²»Í¬Ñ§Ð£¼äµÄÓ¢Óï½ÌÓýˮƽ²ã´Î²»Æ룺¸»Ñ§ÉúÄÜÊܵ½¶¥¼âµÄ½ÌÓý£¬¶øÇîѧÉúµÃµÈµ½µÚÊ®Äê²ÅÓÐÈ˽ÌËûÃÇÓ¢Óï¡£ÕâЩÇîѧÉúÖеĴ󲿷ÖÈËÉÐÇÒÄêÉÙ¾Íê¡Ñ§ÁË¡£MADÏàÐÅ£¬Í¨¹ý½ÌÊÚËûÃǹµÍ¨¼¼Çɺ͵çÄÔ¼¼ÊõÄܰïÖú¸ü¶àµÄº¢×ÓÁôÔÚѧУ£¬ÈÃËûÃǼ³È¡¸ü¶à֪ʶ¡£
MAD has courses about conversational English and computer skills that kids can take throughout their childhood and high school studies. MAD also helps older students to apply for jobs or to attend university. After MAD volunteers are trained, they only have to spend 2 hours a week teaching or helping to organize events and programs.MADÓлỰӢÓïºÍµçÄÔ¼¼Êõ¿Î³Ì£¬´ÓÓ×Äêµ½¸ßÖн׶κ¢×ÓÃǶ¼¿ÉÒԲμӡ£MADÒ²°ïÖúÄ곤ЩµÄѧÉúӦƸ¹¤×÷»òÕßÉÏ´óѧ¡£MADµÄÖ¾Ô¸ÕßÔÚ¾¹ýÅàѵºó£¬Ã¿ÖÜÖ»Ð軨Á½¸öСʱÀ´½ÌÊé»òÊǰïæ×éÖ¯»î¶¯ºÍÏîÄ¿¡£
