 一、relax的形容词

relax的形容词有以下两种情况：

情况1：relaxing 令人轻松的;其主语一般为物

情况2：relaxed 松懈的，放松的;悠闲的，自在的;不严格的，不拘束的;其主语一般为人

二、relax作为动词(v.)的用法

1、【REST 休息】 [I,T] to feel calm and comfortable and stop worrying, or to make someone do this (使)放松﹐(使)轻松

例句1：After a hard day ' s work , relax in the swimming pool . 在一天的辛勤工作后﹐到游泳池裡去放松一下。

例句2：Relax - I ' m sure the kids will be back any minute . 别紧张﹐孩子们肯定马上就会回来。

2、【LOOSEN 放鬆】[I,T] if you relax a part of your body or it relaxes, it becomes less stiff or less tight 使〔身体部位〕松弛﹐放松

例句：Gentle exercise can relax stiff shoulder muscles . 轻柔的运动可以放松僵硬的肩部肌肉。

3、relax your hold/grip- to hold something less tightly than before 松开手

例句：Molassi relaxed his grip on my arm . 莫莱西松开了抓着我胳膊的手。

4、to become less strict in the way you control something 放宽

例句1：It seemed unlikely that Britain would willingly relax her grip onthe territories . 看来英国不可能主动放松对领土的控制。
