钟燕群会见香港新闻界代表团 介绍上海世博会筹办工作
世博网6月19日消息：今天，上海世博会执委会专职副主任钟燕群会见了香港新闻界代表团一行。香港新闻界代表团由香港二十一家主要媒体负责人组成，是应国务院新闻办公室和中央驻香港联络办公室的邀请访沪考察。上海世博局副局长朱咏雷会见时在座。
钟燕群对代表团的来访表示欢迎，并就上海世博会的建设进展、运营准备及参展方服务等情况作了详细的介绍。钟燕群表示，党中央国务院十分重视上海世博会的筹办工作。上海世博会组织者将全力以赴做好前期的运营准备、当好东道主。
Shanghai Party Secretary Yu Zhengsheng yesterday briefed a Hong Kong press delegation on the 2010 World Expo.
Yu said the Expo offers a platform for China to learn more about the world and vice versa. Its theme "Better City, Better Life" is closely related to Shanghai's development, he said.
Yu said city officials are working for a more harmonious society which incorporates the balance between urban development and the environment, humans and nature, and between humans.
He said the attraction of Expo and its expected large number of visitors will pose a major challenge for management but all involved will try their best to produce a successful, splendid and unforgettable event.
Yu hoped Hong Kong media would expand their coverage. He welcomed Hong Kong people to the Expo as well.
