In Canada people likes to play ice hockey everywhere.People often ride snowmobiles because it’s cold and snows a lot.You often see Canadians skating because they like it!In the summer,it’s a very busy time for the pools around Canada because the water is cooler than outside.In the winter,most people go to the mountains and go skiing.Adults,children or older people all try to be the best.

Canada’s most famous food is maple syrup.They use maple syrup in pies and candies.Also,Canadians use Saskatoon berries to make special foods when it’s Christmas.In some places like Prince Edward Island,people like lobsters because the island is in the ocean.Some places near the ocean have lots of seafood like oysters,clams and Arctic char.

On nickels,there’s always a beaver.That is because beaver is Canada’s national animal.When you hear stories from First Nations people,most of the stories are about ravens,that is why the raven is Nunavut’s animal.There is a kind of loon called the common loon.It’s all white.British Columbia’s animal is the stellar’s jay,I think it looks pretty.There are lots more animals like great horned owls and blue jays too.

On Canada’s flag there is a maple leaf,so the most important tree is maple tree.In autumn,some of the trees are almost bald,but not maple tree.Maple trees’ leaves start turning red when it’s October.When it gets colder and colder,the leaves look darker and darker.In Canada,there is a kind of rose called the wild rose,and it looks pretty too.Also,there are three kinds of pine trees too.They are called lodgepole pines,jack pines and eastern white pines.Trees like red oak and western red cedar have colorful names too.
