Since founding,Chinese animation has gone through a long history of 80 years.Especially in the 1960s,we got great reputation in the world,and cartoon film "MuDi ","Mother for small tadpoles" in Chinese ink and water colours has became a myth in many minds of cartoon workers.In January 2008,Chinese Cartoon Animation Alliance has carried out a condesed questionnaire about the current cartoon market,the results presented that the Chinese cartoon was already being through a bottleneck,original works was much less,at the same time,the foreign cartoon grasped and occupied a large proporation part of the market share.The current situation was of a variety of reasons.Firstly,duing to the impact and influence of the world animation,Chinese animation lost itself during the shock ,just like the ship lost its direction when heading against the sea market.Because it lost the target,so did competitiveness.The second ground attributed to the rapid development of society and the economical market,there was not suitable atomsphere for the development of traditional Chinese cartoon,moreover,it was lack of economical efficiency and market,so the development of Chinese animation steped into the stage of making rush decisions ,and blinded to the pursuit of economic development,but the loss of the nature and the competition of capital.Based on the analysis of the status quo of China cartoon,the paper dissects the current sitution,and makes some prospect of the future development of animation.If Chinese cartoon wants to have a good outlook and a clear direction,it should deeply reads what features and characteristics that Chinese animation takes proud in.Only we definitude the essence of Chinese animation with verve,can China's cartoon not be influenced by the impact of invasion and not fled in any path without heeding which it should chase.The stability of the cartoon sales for the development of animation industry chain is vital,the formation of cartoon style and the bettering system will promote Chinese cartoon to walk farther and better in the future.Posing these immature view of China animation,I hope the paper is of some help to the development of our own homemade cartoon.
