Lynne Cox has shattered world swimming records, out swam men and women alike, and swam distances never swam before. 琳·考克斯打破过许多世界游泳记录，不管是男子或女子记录，而她所游的距离更是前所未有的。
At the young age of fifteen, she broke the men’s and women’s records for her 33-mile swim across the English Channel. At seventeen, she broke the men’s record for swimming the Catalina Channel. 她在十五岁时，游过三十三英里远的英吉利海峡，同时打破男子与女子记录；十七岁那年，她打破卡塔利那海峡的男子游泳记录。
Her accomplishments hold a special place in hearts around the world. In 1987, she swam the Bering Straight. It is the channel that creates the border between Alaska and Siberia.
