When I was a little girl I was always wanted to have a tree.I didn't remember when I've got this strange idea. As most of my girlfriends would ask for a doll or a beautiful dress as a birthday present,I would never did that and I would never ask my dad for a single prsent.Because I was all the confidence that he would never be able to give what I really want——a tree.It's not an ordinary tree.It's such kind of tree as being described in Janpan's animation.It shall grow to its full length with roots extending and holding fast to the core of the Earth.Its trunk is as hard and sturdy as rocks and no one is able to or dare to cut it down with negligible droning elec-saws.Its leaves shall be large enough to cover me from atrocious vengeance of the lion living on it.Standing on the top branch I would touch the sky and pick up those candy-floss-like clouds at will making them my cozy quilts.I would be the only man on it with animals,worms and plants my company,maybe some guarding fairies as well.When I got hungry,I could eat those dewy wild fruits.When I met with those lions and tigers and wolves,I could either flit from one branch to another like Tarzan or be a tamer and make them my friends.At that time I thought all I need to live happily in this earth is a tree.I thought it was Heaven in Earth.

Problems occured one after another as I became mature and recieved some education.No plant has been found able to grow that strong and significant.Even if THERE IS such a tree,will I be the only man on it while every one will make their way to have a sharing?Even if I was the only one on it will I get weary or feel lonely?What if I get lost one day?

As time sliped away from my hand,my fancy dream glided away from my mind.But the tree did take roots and grow exuberantly.Dad buried the seed deeply when he rode on that old bike taking me to pre-school and primary school for 8 years.The tree did grow strong as mom refused to reach out her hand when I fell down on the ground."Pluck up your courage and be a brave girl!" And I did have those large leaves as I was bitten by a horrendous dog and it became part of me and I was part of it when my best friend made her own leg the lure.After exchaging some wrestling holds with the dog in an unseen corner,she made her mischievous return,grin in face and scratch in arms.

I've already got that tree,even more significant than I expected.

I would rather have a shade of coolness under it,a dew drippling from it,a tiny luscious fruit from it,than eternity without it.
