词汇基础。
词汇是句子的基础，句子是文章的细胞，所以词汇是很重要的，要有一定的词汇量才能够有写作的基础，所以一定要注意词汇的积累，不光要能认识词汇，知道词汇的含义，还要能够很好的拼写词汇，这样在写作的时候才能够运用自如。
语法结构。
英语的语法结构和汉语不一样，词汇的搭配方式，表达方式也与汉语有很大的差别，所以基本的语法结构要掌握好，这样才能够写出通顺的，没有语法错误的句子，进而组成文章。
积累运用。
平时的积累很重要，比较著名的俚语，俗语，成语的表达方法，疑问句和感叹句的句法结构，地道英语的说法等等都会使你的文章变得特别出色的。
范文作用。
要想写好英语作文，范文的作用不可忽视，可以背诵大量的优秀的范文，这样在自己的写作中会有大量的素材，写作的时候就不会感觉语言干瘪无力了。背诵范文的时候最好是经典的英文，而不是中国式的英文。
写作技巧。
在写作的时候如果时间允许，可以先打草稿。把文章的大体框架构思出来，然后再往里面填充内容，遇到确实不会拼写的单词可以换一种说法，但是一定要保证没有语法错误。
